Installation and Customization of phpBidlink Templates

Installation and Customization of phpLinkBid templates is easy. Download the .ZIP file and unzip it to your PC. Now upload the selected template folder with all its contents to your /tpl/ directory. Log in to phpLinkBid Admin to see the new templates in Site Configuration. Just pick the template you want, and save!

Change the number of columns in the Auction Configuration to 1 if you are using a template with the category directory in the side navigation column.

To customize the text on the home page, open the home.tpl file in a text editor. Scroll down until you find the default text :

“<p>Type some text here to explain your site and to add some keywords relating to your specific niche directory…….</p>”

Replace the text between the <p> and </p> with something relevant to your site or specific niche and include your main site keyword at least twice in the text. Save and upload the changed file into your /tpl/ directory replacing the old file. This makes your site more search engine friendly.

If you are using the advanced add-on, note that the required images are already contained in the relevant image folder for the advanced template options. No need to re upload the required files and images. If you have not installed the add-on yet, just install it as per instructions received with your purchase, select the appropriate template, and everything is back online!
